RTT as a function of the traffic load
Goal:
the effect of traffic load on RTT (measured through ping) and packet loss are estimated when both the UDP background traffic and the ping packets are treated as best-effort traffic.

Methodology:
2 equal UDP streams, one in each direction, are used to inject background traffic. min/avg/max statistics are computed over a population of 100 samples.
